The Minnesota Wild have announced that two young players have made their roster for the 2022-2023 season. 2020 1st round pick Marco Rossi has made the team. He spent last season on their farm team in Iowa and put-up respectable numbers scoring eighteen goals and adding thirty-five assists. The Austrian center will be a welcome addition down the middle with his quick speed and offensive ability. It was only a matter of time before Rossi made this team.

The other addition is defenseman Calen Addison. Addison was a second-round pick by Pittsburgh back in 2018. He only has a grand total of 18 games played in the NHL. The last two years he spent most of his time with the Iowa Stars in the American Hockey League. Addison put up nice numbers in the minors. Last season he recorded seven goals and twenty-seven assist in forty-three games. It looks like Addison could be the teams sixth or seventh defenseman on the depth charts for Minnesota so his playing time might be limited at first.

The good news for Minnesota is they're getting some young talent into the lineup and it's hardly costing them anything to do so. Rossi is due $850,000 this year and Addison $795,000. This is especially helpful since the Wild still have Ryan Suter and Zach Parise owed quite a bit of money over the next three years.

Checkout general manager Bill Guerin's welcome to the team below. It has to be a thrill for these two to make the club.
