NFL player dies suddenly at 25
Sad news from the sporting world. Today the Detroit Lions confirmed that Jessie Lemonier had passed away at 25-years-old. Lemonier played 7 games with the Lions last year and highlighted his season by a sack on Aaron Rodgers.
The Lions released the following statement:
We are shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of former Detroit Lion Jessie Lemonier.
Jessie was a model teammate and wonderful young man who is gone far too soon.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
Lemonier didn't play any NFL games this season. According to his agent, Lemonier was expecting a child with his girlfriend at the time of his death. At this time there have been no details revealed about his cause of death.
