NHL announces length of Evander Kane's suspension for hit on Nazem Kadri
Less than 2-minutes into the Oilers' game last night, Evander Kane delivered a dangerous hit to Nazem Kadri. The hit sent Kadri directly into the boards. Kadri remained on the ice and immediately clutched his arm. He was assisted from the ice by a trainer, he left the game and didn't return.
The Avalanche have already announced that Kadri will be unavailable for the rest of this series at the minimum. This injury was taken into consideration when the NHL made their ruling.
Today the Department of Player Safety announced that they have suspended Evander Kane for 1 game.
