New York Islanders forward has his apartment robbed
According to multiple news outlets, Nikita Soshnikov of the New York Islanders was the victim of an apparent robbery at his apartment in Moscow. According to Sport-Express.ru state that among the things stolen Soshnikov lost $1,700 in US Dollars and 2000 Euros.
This summer Soshnikov made his return to the NHL after spending the last 3 years playing in Europe. Soshnikov signed with the New York Islanders, but is currently playing for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL. Soshnikov has also played 3 games this season for the Islanders, where he has no points and is a -2 in limited minutes.
The situation with Soshnikov is extremely strange. It was reported that Soshnikov left the keys with apartment security, but somehow the keys found their way into the hands of the robbers. There have been no reported arrests in connection with the robbery.
