President and GM Chris Drury is still uncertain about the situation regarding 22-year-old defenseman Nils Lundkvist.

Update on Nils Lundkvist: I checked in with his agent, Claude Lemieux, who said that the 22-year-old defenseman will *not* be reporting for the #NYR's main camp next week. They've requested a trade and seem to plan on sitting tight until that happens.

Lundkvist agent Claude Lemieux gave an update on his client's situation. Lundkvist will not be reporting to Rangers' camp next week. They've requested a trade and plan on sitting tight until that happens.

"I don't really have any update on it,» Drury said Thursday at MSG Training Center in Tarrytown, «Obviously, we think he's a real good player. We drafted him. We've worked with him the last number of years. We certainly hope he's here next week. I don't have a definitive answer as to what his plans are right now.»

Lundkvist played his first season in North America, and the adjustment period took longer than expected. He was able to get in 25 games, recording 4 points. He was never able to earn the trust of head coach Gerard Gallant, averaging only 13:55 of ice time. He was passed by Braden Schneider on the depth chart.
