Breaking News - Evander Kane and San Jose Sharks court case has reportedly been resolved
Evander Kane and the San Jose Sharks were tangled in a legal battle after the termination of his NHL contract. The Sharks claimed Kane had breached AHL COVID protocols and used this to attempt to get out of his NHL deal. Kant and his agent Dan Milstein denied any breach and immediately filed a claim against the Sharks.
Last week it was reported that a settlement was very unlikely but apparently the Sharks have changed their mind. According to Kevin Weekes a decision between the parties has been reached. Weekes took to his Twitter account to share the following:
**Breaking News** 🚨 📰
I'm told that a verbal settlement agreement has been reached in Evander Kane's Grievance Case against the @SanJoseSharks
This agreed upon settlement will likely cost the Sharks against the salary cap and it will not provide the Oilers any cap relief on Kane's deal.
This settlement also shows the Sharks likely felt their termination of Kane's deal was unjustified and likely would have cost them the full value of Kane's contract if a decision was rendered.
This is another case where multiple people will likely owe Evander Kane an apology.
