Patrick Kane has spent his entire career with the Chicago Blackhawks but it appears that will change over the next 12 months. Kane appears ready to move on from Chicago as they embark on a full rebuild. Now that news has become common knowledge at least on Eastern Conference team is planning to make him a massive offer next year.
The Buffalo Sabres have been a disappointing team for many years now. They haven't made the playoffs since 2010 and fans have understandably very frustrated with ownership.
But last season, things started to improve in Buffalo, despite only having a 32-39-11 record the Sabres seemed to show significant progress. The Sabres even look like a better team after trading their former captain, Jack Eichel to Vegas.
However, with a lot of solid draft picks in the cupboards, Buffalo Sabres' General Manager, Kevyn Adams has his eyes set on bringing a hometown superstar to the Sabres lineup for the 2023-2024 season.
That player is Patrick Kane. The Sabres have made it clear they have no intention of trading for Kane, especially at his current price tag. But with Kane heading into the final year of his current contract, the Sabres do plan on aggressively pursuing him next summer.
Kane is a three time Stanley Cup champion in Chicago and one of the greatest players of his generation. Kane is 33 and is still putting up solid numbers. Kane would definitely help the Sabres on ice and could represent a similar move to Claude Giroux signing with his hometown Ottawa Senators.
