Patrick Kane has reached a surprising answer about his future in Chicago
Patrick Kane was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks and has spent his entire career in the same jersey. With the complete teardown of the team, many felt he might be interested in trying to chase a Championship elsewhere. General Manager, Kyle Davidson had shared that he had no intentions of asking any player with a No Movement Clause to waive their protection, and it would be entirely their decision.
Many expected both Kane and Jonathan Toews to take advantage of this option, but it appears for the time being at least Patrick Kane isn't interested in that idea.
According to Frank Seravalli of The Daily FaceOff, the Edmonton Oilers checked in on Kane's services, but they were informed at this time he had no intention of waiving.
According to Seravalli, Kane wants to remain with the team and see what direction they're headed. Kane is expected to reevaluate this decision at the Trade Deadline and could be on the move at that time.
Kane has already been linked to the New York Rangers, Colorado Avalanche and Edmonton Oilers during this off season.
