Pierre-Luc Dubois disrespects the Winnipeg Jets once again with recent autograph
No matter how hard people try to squash the rumors of Pierre-Luc Dubois going to the Montreal Canadiens it's not happening. Many Hockey Insiders still believe that Dubois will end up in Montreal either via trade or when Dubois becomes an unrestricted free agent.
Even the Canadian Football League would get in on the Dubois topic. After a Winnipeg Blue Blue Bombers fan criticizes the Montreal Alouettes during a game with a distasteful tweet:
The Manager of the Alouettes' Twitter account jumped on the opportunity to to remind him that Dubois wants to play in Montreal tweeting:
That's all just speculation of course but Dubois was on the ice today getting in shape for the upcoming season, and was approached by some fans that asked for a autograph. The fans however didn't have Winnipeg Jets merchandise, they had Montreal Canadiens merch.
While many players will avoid causing controversy by signing certain merchandise, Dubois happily signed the Habs gear. When Jets fans found out about this they were infuriated.
At this point it just seems like it's Dubois's fate to play for his hometown team. But many teams around the league won't be happy with how Dubois has gone about his approach.
