Earlier this week it was announced that the New York Islander's Sebastian Aho was stopped by police for suspicion of drunk driving. After completing a breathalyzer Aho blew over the legal limit.
According to Aho, he had only drank the night before and figured he was sober enough to drive. After being booked for a driving under the influence, Aho paid a $3,769 fine and had his license temporarily suspended.
Former NHLer Claude Lemieux who represents Aho would shared the following:
He had no idea he would still be over the limit by the next morning and felt 100 percent, but unfortunately he made a mistake and he is very sorry!
The Islanders issued a statement that this arrest would not impact Aho's standing with the organization.
