Shane Wright keep his promise and makes the Canadiens regret not drafting him
Shane Wright recently spent 5 games in the AHL, before being recalled over the weekend by the Kraken. Wright had a very productive time in the AHL scoring 4 goals. Tonight Wright made his return to the NHL for a matchup with the Canadiens.
After being passed over in the draft Wright made a promise to make the Canadiens regret their decision. 15 minutes into the 1st period Wright found some open space and buried his 1st NHL goal.
Wright has a long way to go before any team regrets passing him over, but he's definitely making the most of this opportunity. Wright is expected to be loaned to Team Canada at the end of this month, but hopefully he gets some real playing time.
