St. Louis Blues Trade Away Veteran Defenceman

Veteran defenceman Robert Bortuzzo has a new home. The St. Louis Blues have announced they've dealt the 340year-old to the New York Islanders. The return is a seventh round pick.
Bortuzzo was originally acquired by the Blues in a trade with the Pittsburgh Penguins in March of 2015. He spent the past 10 seasons with the Blues, totaling 54 points (16 goals, 38 assists) and 320 penalty minutes in 424 regular-season games. He also collected three points (two goals, one assist) and 42 penalty minutes in 47 postseason games.
Bortuzzo is one of 16 players in Blues history to have spent at least 10 seasons with the team. He won a Stanley Cup with the team in 2019.
