Much has been said about what Team Canada has done, and didn't do at the 2025 World Junior Championship, with head coach Dave Cameron already defending his decision to cancel practices for his players.
With the criticism mounting, the GM of Team Canada for the World Juniors, Peter Anholt, insists he wouldn't have done anything differently.
Peter Anholt told reporters Canada isn't the only team trying to win the World Juniors, and he would make absolutely no changes to the roster or the team's personnel after another disappointing quarter-final loss at the tournament.
Hockey Canada has big questions to answer following the loss to Czechia. However, Anholt the team has chemistry and would have done much better except for the lack of scoring.
Canada's lack of discipline was its ultimate undoing at the World Juniors, but there are still plenty of questions over the choice of head coach and the names that were left off the roster this year.
Anholt is currently the General Manager of the WHL's Lethbridge Hurricanes, a position he has held since 2015. For one season, he served as the team's GM and head coach.
Meanwhile, Don Cherry issued a statement on social media saying the blame for the loss lies directly with Hockey Canada, which he insists needs more consistency when it comes to coaching.
