Connor Bedard scores ridiculous goal during the best period of his entire career
Going into the season Chicago Blackhawks rookie Connor Bedard was the most hyped prospect to enter the NHL since Connor McDavid and so far in his first NHL season he has delivered on those high expectations.
Tonight Bedard's Blackhawks are visiting the Tampa Bay Lightning. With the score 3-2 Chicago, Bedard pulled off a nasty stick lift and snag of the puck on Nikita Kucherov. The 18 year old knocked the puck to Nick Foligno who was streaking into the Lightning zone, Foligno fed the puck back to Bedard who pulled off a beautiful dangle on Jonas Johansson before depositing the puck into the net.
The goal was Bedard's second of the night and third point of the period alone. He has added another assist on Corey Perry's powerplay goal in the second period to make it 11 points on the season. His four point night tonight will move him into the top 5 in NHL scoring.
