With the Minnesota Wild seven points back of the St. Louis Blues for the final Wild Card spot in the Western Conference, there's a possibility that Fleury could be moved before the trade deadline on March 8th, but it'll be up to him, as he currently has a full no-movement clause.
If Fleury becomes available, there won't be a shortage of suitors and one team to keep an eye on is the Edmonton Oilers, who, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, have serious interest in the 39-year-old.
Fleury, a native of Sorel, Quebec, has appeared in 23 of Minnesota's 49 games this season where he has a record of 8-9-3, along with a 2.95 goals against average, an .897 save percentage and one shutout.
It'll be interesting to keep an eye on Fleury over the next month to see what he wants to do, whether he'll want to be dealt to a contender or finish out the season with the Wild. It'll also depend on the role he's being offered by the contending team, while Fleury would be a solid backup option for any team, he likely wants to get some playing time as well down the stretch and in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
