Last night, the Anaheim Ducks were in Philadelphia to face the Ducks for the first time since the controversial trade that sent the prospect Cutter Gauthier to Anaheim for defenseman Jamie Drysdale.
Fans were eager to greet Gauthier in Philadelphia, and they did it just like we would expect: by booing him and cheering for Drysdale.
The players also didn't shy away from greeting him in their way.
Notably, after a whistle, veteran Travis Konecny warned him, saying he would fight him.

Later, Konecny opened up on Gauthier, saying it was his loss to ask to be traded out of Philadelphia and that he would keep giving him a hard time.

The Flyers beat the Ducks by a whopping 6-0 score. After the game, in the locker room, Drysdale received the player of the game award from his teammates, along with an extra-long round of applause, clearly aimed at getting back at Gauthier.
Currently playing in his first NHL season, Gauthier, 20, has five goals and 13 assists in 42 games with the Ducks. This is not bad at all considering that the Ducks haven't been winning many games this season, standing at the 6th rank in the Pacific Division, tied with the Seattle Kraken with 39 points.
The Ducks have lost their last three games, and the team is set to get back to it tonight in Carolina against the Hurricanes.
As for the Flyers, they are set to meet the Florida Panthers tomorrow. If they win, they will reach the sixth spot in the Metropolitan Division, as they are currently tied with the New York Islanders at 41 points.
