A Frustrated JT Miller Makes His Feelings Extremely Clear on the Strained Relationship with Elias Pettersson
Vancouver Canucks forward JT Miller addressed reporters today regarding his relationship with teammate Elias Pettersson.
There have been rumors about the relationship between JT Miller and Elias Pettersson for several years now.
Basically, the two players have seemingly not gotten along since JT Miller arrived in Vancouver.
This season, things seemed to come to a head when Miller took a month-long leave of absence from the team.
Since he returned, reporters have consistently asked questions, specifically regarding his relationship with Elias Pettersson.
That continued this morning, when Miller spoke to reporters after practice.
"You guys have created this thing. This isn't a thing. Am I bothered? No, but you guys are just wasting your time. I don't care, you guys want to talk about it, ask me all you want. I can bring up Petey and we can do the interview together if that will make you guys happy. I'm not worried about any noise."
Miller is not the first to deny that there is anything going on between himself and Pettersson.
Just yesterday, Pettersson himself denied that there was any ongoing feud with Miller.
When asked what his relationship with Miller was like, Pettersson denied that anything was wrong, claiming that the media was just trying to stir something up.
"It's good. I don't know why people try to make s*it up. Excuse my language, but that's my response to it."
That being said, there is plenty of evidence in the contrary.
Former Canucks head coach Bruce Boudreau for example, revealed that the tension between the two players existed even before he came to the team.
"It is a problem. And I knew they had a little bit of a problem between them before I got there. But I thought that was all straightened out and everything. So, I'm hoping it was a coincidence."
This will certainly not be the last we hear from either player or the team on this matter, so be sure to continue following the Canucks as there is bound to be more drama surrounding the team.
