There something to be said for not rushing top end prospects into the adult game of hockey, some can do it, however if they're not yet done growing or aren't grown into their frame yet, it can be incredibly dangerous.

At 17 years old, defender Adam Jiricek plays the Czechia Extraliga a mens pro league, yesterday he was absolutely destroyed by 27 year old Jan Scotka; take a look.

Here was the hit on 17-year-old, 152-pound defenceman Adam Jiricek in the Czechia Extraliga by 27-year-old, 201-pound Jan Scotka yesterday. Exhibit A for why you shouldn't rush kids into men's leagues. This wasn't easy to watch.

Watching this is tough, considering Scotka is 10 years Jiricek's senior and has 50 pounds on him as Jiricek has no doubt not grown into his frame as of yet.

Honestly, I think this should've serve as a wake up call for organizations as well as prospects that if you're not physically mature, moving a player along before they are is a recipe for disaster
