Another NHL coach loses his job
After another disappointing season, reports have confirmed that the Philadelphia Flyers will not be bringing back Mike Yeo next season and are currently joining other teams like the Detroit Red Wings and Winnipeg Jets, in the search for a new head coach.
The former Flyers' assistant coach was promoted to interim Head Coach after Alain Vigneault was fired in December. Under Yeo, the Flyers went 17-36-7 and missed the playoffs. Yeo had previously coached for both the Minnesota Wild and St. Louis Blues.
The Flyers search will likely cover a vast amount of candidates as the team looks to change their identity. The Flyers have missed the playoffs for a 2nd consecutive year, for the first time since 1992-1993/1993-1994.
