The Arizona Coyotes lost one of their best offensive forwards on March 30th last year against the San Jose Sharks. Keller went into the boards awkwardly and fractured one of his legs, this resulted in season ending surgery, he's been on the shelf ever since, but, that might be about to change.
According to Tom Gulitti of NHL.com Keller is expected to miss the Coyotes preseason, however he is expected to be healthy to start the regular season.
Keller, 24 was in the midst of a potential career year last season before the injury. In 67 games played last season Keller had a career high 28 goals and added 35 assists for 63 total points. He was just two off his career high in points.
The Coyotes don't have a lot to look forward to these days, Keller is likely their franchise cornerstone with the imminent departure of Jakob Chychrun. It's nice to see him healthy for the start of the season
