Breaking News - Boston Bruins make it official sign another free agent
The Boston Bruins sent out a cryptic tweet less than an hour ago implying they were close to re-signing David Krejci. Mere hours after re-signing Patrice Bergeron, the Bruins have made it official that they're bringing back Krejci as well.
The Bruins took to Twitter to make the following announcement:
Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, August 8, that the team has signed forward David Krejci to a one-year contract through the 2022-23 season worth $1 million, plus an additional $2 million in performance-based incentives.
Both Krejci and Bergeron's deals are both performance bonus based and will push the cap hits to next season. With the return of both players the Bruins add serious depth down the middle.
With both Bergeron and Krejci over the age of 35, this could be their last kick at the can.
