Breaking News - Vancouver Canucks legendary enforcer passes away at 52
Today we received some sad news from the hockey as former Vancouver Canucks enforced Gino Odjick had passed away after years of battling health issues. In 2014, Odjick was diagnosed with Amyloidosis, a disease that attacks your organs. At the time he was only given weeks to live.
Odjick battled through the illness like the warrior he was. The disease reemerged in 2020 and he has been battling it ever since. Today though Odjick lost his battle passing away at 52.
Very sad news as Gino Odjick has passed away at the age of 52.
1 of my favourite players all-time, 1 of the most popular players in franchise history.
RIP Gino.
Odjick played 605 NHL games in his career with 4 teams. In his career he collected 2567 penalty minutes and built a reputation as being one of the toughest players in the league. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of his friends and family.
