The National Hockey League is a business's first and foremost, but that doesn't mean that the people inside the hockey world don't deserve respect , especially someone like Bruce Boudreau, the current head coach of the Vancouver Canucks.
With rumours swirling surrounding the Canucks and Boudreau, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman has all but confirmed he's out as Vancouver's coach and they already have a replacement lined up in Rick Tocchet take a look:
Friedman has done everything but say Boudreau is out. If this is true and with Friedman, it normally is, treating a coach like this isn't right. Especially when an argument can be made it's not the head coach who is at fault, but management directly.
If this comes to fruition and all the Canucks are waiting on is Tocchet's four weeks notice at the NHL network to end, this is abysmal management by the team.
This reminds me of how the Florida Panthers handled their coaching situation in the summer, only this is worse, in my opinion, much worse.
