The Vegas Golden Knights has been of been one of the best come back stories of the season so far. The team missed the playoffs for the first time in their existence last season and want to make it back this time around.

Injuries have played a major factor in their most recent skid. They are currently without captain Mark Stone who is sidelined with another back issue.

One of their star players hasn't been able to reignite the form he was on at the beginning of the season since he has returned to the lineup from injury. Jack Eichel has just two goals since being activated from injured reserve (lower-body injury) and hasn't scored during the Golden Knights' current skid while posting a minus-4 rating.

His performances have left head coach Bruce Cassidy looking for more.

"Jack just hasn't been the same driving force for us as he was at the start of the year on both ends of the ice," Cassidy told reporters after Thursday's loss to the Detroit Red Wings, "The expectations are not being met from Jack. He needs to be better for us especially as we're down a few guys that create offense for us. He needs to be one of the drivers."

Eichel is in his second season with the Golden Knights since being acquired from the Buffalo Sabres in a blockbuster deal in 2021. In 33 games Eichel has scored 15 goals and 34 points.

The Golden Knight's next game is on Saturday night against the Washington Capitals.
