Detroit Red Wings Robby Fabbri releases video detailing his recovery from ACL surgery
Detroit Red Wings forward Robby Fabbri suffered a season-ending torn ACL against the Minnesota Wild on March 10, 2022. He has having a solid season before that with 17 goals and 13 assists in 56 games.
On Wednesday night he looks to make his season debut with the Red Wings as they take on the New Jersey Devils.
Fabbri has been with the Red Wings since being acquired during the 2019-20 season. The change of scenery from St. Louis to Detroit truly reinvigorated his career. He earned a three-year contract extension from Steve Yzerman and has continued to show how he can bring value to the team.
It was a long road to recovery, and after a ton of hard work and time away from the team, Fabbri is finally ready to join them for the 2022-2023 season.
This cool video below shows some behind the scenes of what Fabbri had to go through to get back from his third ACL injury of his career.
"One thing about my relationship with hockey that has never changed, is how much I love gamedays. The road back to this gameday' was not easy for me."
It will be exciting for Red Wings fans to see #14 back on the ice.
