Former NHL Don Koharaki rips on Kerry Fraser for ''s***ing on other referees''
Don Koharski was an NHL referee for 32- years and over that time he officiated 1719 regular season games and 273 playoff games, including 11 Stanley Cup Finals games. Koharaki is known as one of the most well respected officials in the game, by both players, coaches and his peers.
After retirement Koharski was looking to get into broadcasting. The first idea he pitched was a spinoff ides or "Coach's Corner", but Koharski's version would involve a referee relaying important rules and information. Upon hearing the idea TSN was very interested, but there was a catch.
TSN wanted Koharski to exclusively "shit" on the blown calls of other officials. Something he didn't feel comfortable doing, but Kerry Fraser did.
Koharski was recently on the Cam & Strick and shared the following comments about his former colleague.
It's clear Fraser isn't a very popular official and I think if you asked some Leafs fans they'd agree wholeheartedly.
