Insider provides update in John Klingberg's free agent negotiations
John Klingberg is viewed as the top free agent target for team's interested in adding a defenseman. The right handed shot defenseman has played his entire career as a member of the Dallas Stars. Last season it became common knowledge that Klingberg had asked Stars General Manager, Jim Nill for a trade.
After Klingberg tested the free agent market it appears he has looped back to have a conversation with the Stars once again. Frank Seravalli shared the following information:
Frank Seravalli: The Dallas Stars and UFA defenseman John Klingberg have started talking again.
The Stars lost out on Brent Burns, so it makes sense to go back to Klingberg.
With the Stars losing out on their number one target in Burns, it appears there might be a renewed commitment to trying to get a deal done between both parties.
