The Chicago Blackhawks are in the midst of a rebuild and need all the assets they can get. The question is will Kyle Davidson be able to pull a trade-off when certain players have no trade clauses?

Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Jack McCabe told the media recently he was tired of playing on losing teams.

It sounds like Davidson will try to oblige McCabe, however, the veteran has a 7-team no-trade clause. This may include the Edmonton Oilers who have expressed interest recently.

McCabe has the potential to reach his career-high in points with the Blackhawks in 2022-2023, but it sounds less important to him at this point in winning. As someone who expressed more interest in a better team game than his own personal play, Davidson ideally shouldn't have a problem moving him, but let's not kid ourselves, Holland spends his salary cap on veterans like a kid in a candy store.

McCabe might have an easier chance of moving on from his current situation than a certain Center in Vancouver, however, right now it sounds like Davidson's hands are tied.
