Jack Edwards under fire after using 'civil war' to insult Hurricanes' fans
Jack Edwards isn't the most popular announcer around the league, unless you're a fan of the Boston Bruins. Even then, sometimes Edwards pushes the envelope a little too far on occasion. Unfortunately for Edwards he's under fire again for one of his not well received comments.
With the Bruins being blown out 5-1 in Game 5 the crowd at PNC Arena broke out into a "Boston sucks" chant. While most announcers would simply breeze over the chant, Edwards isn't most announcers. Edwards instead traveled all the way back to 1861 for his retort.
In case you didn't the response Edwards said:
They can't let the civil war go, can they.
There has been a significant amount of backlash online against Edwards for this comment, but like comments in the past it is expected there will be no repercussions for his actions.
