The Dallas Stars and Calgary Flames are in the middle of a battle for their shot at winning the Stanley Cup. When this series began most were giving the Dallas Stars very little shot of winning this series but after four games the series is at a stalemate.
The Dallas Stars have been able stay right there with the heavily favored Flames team in a very rough series. A series that's been highlighted by physical play, great goaltending and now has multiples fines.
Today Dallas Stars captain, Jamie Benn was issued a very rare second fine by the NHL Department of Player Safety.
During the first period Benn would take the legs out from under Flames' Trevor Lewis before they could break out of the Flames end. This was the cause of his first fine.
This was his second fine of the series as he'd previously been punished for high sticking Andrew Mangipane.
It will be interesting to see how much more Benn will be able to get away with before he final receives a suspension.
