Major develop in Jakob Chychrun trade
Earlier today Insider Nick Kypreos sent out the following tweet. The tweet made it seem like things and progressed significantly and that the deal between the two teams was imminent.
Sounding like a Jakob Chychrun @LAKings @ArizonaCoyotes trade centered around 2021 8th overall pick Brandt Clarke. #RealKyperandBourne
Unfortunately for Kypreos and pretty much the entire hockey world, that doesn't seem to be the case. According to David Pagnotta the LA Kings have informed top prospect Brandt Clarke that he won't be heading to the Arizona Coyotes.
Halftime hockey update: FWIW, I'm hearing the Kings have informed Brandt Clarke he is not being traded. Take it away, Rihanna...
This news doesn't mean it's impossible for a trade to get done between the two teams but if the deal gets done it won't involve Clarke.
