The Winnipeg Jets' exodus is well underway with the departures of Pierre-Luc Dubois, who was traded to Los Angeles and Blake Wheeler, who was bought out and signed with the Rangers as a UFA, but general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff has no plans on slowing down.

Among the names that have been rumoured with moves out of the Manitoba capital are Mark Scheifele and Connor Hellebuyck. Trading Hellebuyck is tricky because it's been reported that he is seeking $9 million AAV on his next contract, which he's eligible to sign now.

As for Mark Scheifele, there will be a ton of interest in acquiring him and according to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, one of those teams is the Boston Bruins.

"One player the Bruins are believed to have expressed some interest in is Winnipeg Jets centre Mark Scheifele, who is in the final year of his contract and comes with a $6.125 million cap hit," Pagnotta said.

He added, "He also owns a 10-team no-trade clause. Trade talks involving Scheifele has been fairly quiet recently, as teams waiting to see how the free agent market would play out. Boston has limited options and he could be a good fit for a team that currently lacks both a No. 1 and No. 2 center."

Scheifele, a native of Kitchener, Ontario, has been with the Jets organization since they selected him seventh overall in 2011, being their first draft pick after moving from Atlanta to Winnipeg.

In 723 career games, the 30-year-old has recorded 645 points (272 goals, 373 assists), 303 penalty minutes and is a plus-46. He's also put up 32 points in 37 Stanley Cup Playoff games, helping the Jets reach the Western Conference Final in 2018.
