We've all unfortunately seen the videos of crazy parents acting like idiots at minor hockey league game. It's become a weekly occurrence and because of that Minor Hockey East Ontario came up with a new idea that to to provide all officials under the age of 18 with green arm bands. The idea behind this is to remind hockey parents that the referees they are yelling at are also kids.
It's sad that we must remind parents that hockey is just a game and meant to be fun but sadly some of these hockey parents forget.
What do you think of this idea? I believe it's sad that as adults we can't simply treat these officials with the dignity and respect they deserve.
