Nino Niederreiter reveals which Predators player texted him to recruit him
Free-Agency is a free-for-all in the NHL and the frenzy has just begun, as the goalie carousel is still active, an underrated Winger was recruited by the Nashville Predators.
Nino Niederreiter who is from Switzerland had a connection with the Predators who brought him in, on an agreeable AAV:
Especially Roman Josi texting Nino Niederreiter after midnight asking him what $ value he wanted to come to #Preds. Then when Nino tells him the number, Roman says he can get it done. Having friends in low places, helped Neiderreiter secure a spot quickly, as Josi and Niederreiter played on the Swiss National Team in the IIHF U18 Championship in 2008.
Thanks to Josi, the Predators have another 20-goal scorer to add to their depth, with Forsberg, Jeannot, and Duchene, they will be a threat again this year, but will they be contenders?
The Niederreiter contract is an absolute steal for its term at $4 Million AAV, for 2 years.
Niederreiter scored 20 or more goals in each of the two seasons he spent in Raleigh, including 24 goals and 20 assists in 75 games last season. In the Swiss forward's 10 full NHL seasons, Niederreiter has six 20-goal campaigns.
