Paul Bissonnette says that Gary Bettman told him where Connor Bedard would go
Connor Bedard is another generational talent in the making as he is turning the World Juniors inside out, as he currently has 21 points in the 2023 tournament.
We're months away from the NHL Draft Lottery and further still from the actual draft when some NHL team's dreams are realized by selecting Bedard.
Paul Bissonnette made a bold assertion that Gary Bettman told him that the Arizona Coyotes would be winning the draft lottery in 2023. Bissonnette and Whitney went on to talk about how the Coyotes have never won a lottery and how Bettman wants to secure the franchise in Tempe.
If what Biznasty and Whitney said was true, how can you not feel that Bettman has leveraged his position in a way that compromises the integrity of the sport and the draft? It is true the Coyotes are in the midst of a rebuild and need all the help they can get, how is this any different than another case of favoritism for a franchise on life support?
