Philadelphia Flyers fans are upset with the team after they 'disrespected' player in promotional email
The Philadelphia Flyers and their fans have had a very disappointing summer. The Flyers were expected to make a significant splash in free agency, but they barely managed to accomplish anything. Now Flyers fans are growing even further frustrated after the Flyers sent out a promotional email.
While it wasn't the email itself that bothered fans, it was the fact that the team couldn't even be bothered to spell the name of one of their best players properly. The email features Travis Sanheim, a defender who has played 5 seasons in Philadelphia and over 300 games with the franchise.
The only problem, the team couldn't be bothered to spell Sanheim correctly. Instead going with "Sanhiem". While usually this would just be chalked up as a mistake, for a team like the Flyers the lack of care seems to embody how fans feel about ownership.
With fans clearly feeling a significant amount of disdain for Comcast, Flyer's ownership, it's clear in the replies how Flyers fans feel.
A storied franchise like the Flyers and their fans shouldn't have to endure this sort of treatment. As so many of the fans have stated, it's clear the Flyers need a change of leadership.
