Savage Prank pulled on Minnesota Wild Rookie
The rookie prank is a time honoured tradition and the Minnesota Wild made sure it continued. The Wild have two promising rookies in Connor Dewar and Brandon Duhaime. So yesterday was the perfect time do celebrate their rookie seasons, so how did the vets get the rookies?
Well the Wild Twitter account shared out the following video of rookies Connor Dewar and Brandon Duhaime coming out to Duhaime's SUV only to find his vehicle stuffed with packing peanuts.
Ah yes the good ole' rookie prank 😆
Brandon Duhaime will be finding packing peanuts in his car for pretty much ever.
Many of the Wild players can be seen enjoying the prank. To Duhaime's credit he took it like a champ telling teammate Connor Dewar to just "Get in the car Dew." "Clean this out in two seconds, we'll be fine, we'll be on the road."
Duhaime does have two main suspects Matt Dumba and Jordan Greenway.
Dewar has 2 goals and 5 points in 32 games for the Wild, while Duhaime has 6 goals and 16 points in 74 games. He has 98 penalty minutes and 189 hits good for third on the team.
Both debuted with Iowa in 2019-2020, after Duhaime was drafted by the Wild in the fourth round in 2016 and Dewar was selected in the third round two years later, and they were linemates their rookie AHL seasons.
