It appears that the Toronto Maple Leafs injury list will be getting longer. Forward Nick Robertson was taken hard into the corner boards by Los Angeles defenseman Matt Roy. Roy was assessed an interference call and Robertson stayed down on the ice for some time and skated gingerly to the Leaf's dressing room.

Before the injury, Toronto had Los Angeles playing in their own end for an extended period of time. Toronto had been cycling the puck and forcing the Kings to play defense and not allowing the Kings to make a line change. It was during that time that Roy interfered with Robertson. As Robertson was checked hard into the corner boards it appeared that he might have injured his shoulder. We'll have to wait and see how severe the injury was. Check out the replay below.

Nick Robertson has struggled to find any real consistency to his game in his young career. Now it looks like he will miss some time with injury which is a tough break for him. The Leafs would like to have his speed and goal scoring ability in the lineup. Let's hope he doesn't require any surgery or that it is not a lengthy injury.

The Leafs have announced Robertson will not return.
