During last nights game between the Colorado Avalanche and the hosting Vancouver Canucks a fan brought a a sign reading «WE STAND WITH BRUCE» into Rogers Arena. Security came to visit the fan later on in the game. Vancouver was defeated 4-1. It was their 9th loss in the last 11 games.

Fans in attendance reported multiple signs along the glass during warmup that showed similar messages of support for the Canucks' head coach, whose dismissal from the organization has been made public and has seemingly dragged out longer than many would have expected.

This past week Bruce Boudreau has been unable to hide his emotions during the post game scrums. He told reporters that he'd be a fool to say he doesn't know what's going on. Referring to all the noise that Rick Tocchet has. been almost confirmed as the Canucks' next head coach. Boudreau abruptly ended his media availability when he was asked what it means for him to coach in the NHL.

There is no denying there is love from the Canucks fan base for Bruce. He led the Canucks to a 32-15-10 finish to the regular season after a dismal 8-15-2 start prior to Boudreau's arrival. This started the the «Bruce there it is!» chant showing how grateful fans were for his efforts behind the Canucks' bench.

This season has been a completely different story. Vancouver has been a dismal team on most nights. This has been a break up that needs to end. Boudreau is a respected coach around the league that just loves his job. Vancouver management need to rip the band aid off and put an end to this circus.
