Report - Jonathan Toews considering retirement
At the NHL Trade Deadline Patrick Kane approved a trade sending him to the New York Rangers. This marked the end of an era for the Blackhawks and now it appears another era may be coming to a surprising end.
According to sources close to Jonathan Toews the Blackhawks Captains is seriously considering retirement.
According to @JDietzSports - 2 sources say Jonathan Toews is "seriously considering" retirement at the end of this season.

Toews has gone through a very public battle with an immune disorder and is now currently battling long COVID. If this is the end for Jonathan Toews he will go down as one of the greatest Blackhawks of all time.
Toews would end his career having won three Stanley Cup trophies, a Conn Smyth Trophy, a Selke Trophy and the Mark Messier Leadership Award.
