Sheldon Keefe continues to complain about officiating, even after game 3 win
The Toronto Maple Leafs and Tampa Bay Lightning are locked in a series that could still go either way, and it appears, even after their overtime win in game 3, they're still finding things to complain about.
Maple Leaf's head coach, Sheldon Keefe, after winning a game they most likely shouldn't have had this to say about the officiating, particularly the fight between Auston Matthews and Steven Stamkos, take a look:
The fight itself, that's a classic example of a veteran championship like Tampa Bay manipulating the officials and taking advantage of a situation, right? I mean they know that we're basically already going on the power play because of the Kucherov situation so it's a free-for-all. They can do whatever they want and they just know that the way the games get called they're not going go get another penalty. I mean you watch that sequence back and say that we should get a 5-on-3. The officials literally holding Steven Stamkos with one arm and his other hand Auston Matthews...
Now I will say this, while Keefe isn't entirely wrong here, Mattews was picked up sticks before Stamkos started in on him, you just won a game you clearly shouldn't have, maybe it's time to recognize that and just stop.
Either way, there's clearly a lot of gamesmanship going on between the players and coaches in this series, and that should make for an entertaining end.
