The Boston are one of the best teams in the NHL, but the Bruins aren't going to sit around and be happy with those results. General Manager, Don Sweeney is looking at all different ways he can improve his club, including creating contract spots for potential moves. Today the Bruins announced that they were doing just that as they'd come to an agreement to terminate a prospects contract.

The Bruins announced that they had officially placed Victor Berglund on unconditional waivers to terminate his contract. Elliotte Friedman shared the following:

BOS has Victor Berglund on unconditional waivers for the purposes of contract termination

The Bruins had drafted Berglund in the 7th round of the 2017 NHL Draft. Berglund has never reached the NHL, and in 51 AHL games for the Providence Bruins he has 19 points including 6 goals. Berglund is expected to return home to Europe where he will continue his professional hockey career.
