Former LA Kings draft pick ejected after very dangerous hit
Nick Ebert was a former draft pick of the Los Angeles Kings, selected in the 7th round of the 2012 NHL Draft. Ebert was never made the jump to the NHL, but he did work hard to continue his professional hockey career. After multiple attempts in the AHL, Ebert finally settled in a career in Europe.
After 4 seasons in the Swedish Hockey League, Ebert made the transition to the KHL this season. Ebert signed a deal to join the Yekaterinburg Automobilist for the upcoming season. The 28-year-old has only played 9 games this season, but he appears poised to receive his 1st KHL suspension.
During a game today Ebert delivered a dangerous hit from behind and was immediately ejected for boarding.
After the hit Ebert immediately engaged with the opponent before being thrown on a injures player nearly causing further injury.
