Jakob Chychrun has been the subject of trade rumours for over a year now and it appears they might be coming to a close. There are three teams left in the running, the question is, what will the price be?
According to Hockey 24/7 the three teams still vying for the 24-year old defensemen's services. The Toronto Maple Leafs, St. Louis Blues and the Ottawa Senators.
One has to wonder exactly what the cost will be. Not too often is a young D-man on the market with offensive upside and term left on his deal at a reasonable cap hit.
By all accounts, Chychrun had a down year last year, but if he's surrounded with the right talent there's no reason he can't break out.
Whoever lands the bonafide top 4 defensemen will certainly make their team that much better.
We'll see how this plays out, but one thing is certain, the speculation is coming to a conclusion. Where do you think he'll end up playing?
