Los Angeles Kings prospect submits early candidate for celly of the year
The NHL has really seen the evolution of personalities in the game over the past couple years. Last year's All Star Game was the perfect example of how the league is trying to appeal to a younger demographic. From Jack Hughes early season stick toss celly to Trevor Zegras' Michigan goals, it's great to see the evolution of the way players are growing.
Tonight during the rookie tournament, Los Angeles Kings rookie Brandt Clarke chose to breakout a candidate for Celly of the Year. After scoring a game winning overtime goal, Clarke simply walked off the ice, with what has become known as the "Walk Off Celly".
Clarke's goal lifted the Kings over the Golden Knights prospects with a final score of 5-4.
