According to Frank Seravalli, the Oilers will be inserting their first-round pick from the 2020 NHL draft into the lineup for Game 4 of the Western Conference Final.

The opening in the lineup for the 20-year-old is due to the Oilers' being without Kailer Yamamoto and Evander Kane. Yamamoto is still out with an upper-body injury he sustained in Game 2 from a Gabriel Landeskog hit and Kane is serving his one-game suspension for his hit on Nazem Kadri in Game 3.

Holloway missed the first part of the 2021-22 season after undergoing surgery on his wrist in the off-season. He joined the Bakersfield Condors in January and scored eight goals and 22 points in 33 games in his rookie season in the AHL. Holloway also added two goals and two assists in five playoff games with the Condors.

The scouting report on Holloway is that he's an extremely versatile player who can serve virtually any role on a hockey team. Is adept at playing the power forward role but can also be used as a shutdown center or playmaking forward. Is a true jack-of-all-trades type.

TSN 1260's Dustin Nielson suggested yesterday that Holloway could suit up on the top line with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, with Zach Hyman, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, and Jesse Puljujarvi skating on the second line.

The Oilers are facing elimination down 3-0 in the Western Conference Final, and are looking to become just the fifth team in NHL history to come back from such a deficit.

Puck drop is set for 8PM ET
