Today Team Canada was looking to punch their ticket to the Finals of this year's World Hockey Championships in Finland. Canada was taking on the Czech Republic for a chance to meet the host Finns in the finals.
With Canada leading 4-1, Canada's Adam Lowry laid a solid body check on a Czech player, or at least it looked clean. The referees apparently disagreed, as Lowry was given a boarding penalty on the play.
Canada would go on to win this game and they will meet Finland in aGold Medal match up. Let's hope the officials don't make a difference in that game and let Canada and Finland decide the winner.
