It took a couple of days to nail down all the details, but it looks like the LA Kings have finally landed Pierre-Luc Dubois. As part of the deal, Dubois was signed and traded, with a huge, new contract in hand.
The Contract
Dubois is now locked down by the LA Kings for the next 8 years with an average annual value (AAV) of $8.5 million.
Meanwhile, the Winnipeg Jets get back three players in return, along with a 2nd round pick.
The Players
23-year old Gabe Vilardi is a former 11th overall pick and scored 23 goals with 41 points last season. Alex Iafallo, 29, is a veteran depth player who regularly hits the 35-40 point mark. Rasmus Kuspari, 23, is also a former first round pick, going 20th overall in 2018. The centre is still a work in progress. Both Vilardi and Kupari are restricted free agents, meaning they are up for contract renewals. Iafallo is locked in for two more seasons with an AAV of $4 million.
