1 killed, 2 dozen injured after bus crash following hockey game
A community is in mourning after a bus carrying students returning from the a local hockey team's game crashed into a tree. Authorities have shared that one student died, while two dozen other passengers were injured.
Police say the initial investigation has uncovered the bus was traveling home from a hockey game when the incident occurred. The game they attended was being played as Northeastern University. The accident happened around 10:30 pm on the town of Waltham, not far from campus.
25-year-old Vanessa Mark was pronounced dead on scene. The remaining 26 passengers and driver were all transported to local hospitals with most being released Sunday.
