It's always great when a former player comes out of retirement to end his career properly, a former first round pick has signed a professional tryout.
A few days ago it was revealed that former 10th overall pick, Cody Hodgson wanted to come out of retirement and attempt to play professional hockey again after having to retire due to medical issues nearly a decade ago.
According to TSN and Bardown Hodgson has now made his comeback official after un-retiring and signing a Professional Tryout with the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League; take a look.
Hodgson was forced to retire at the age of 26 after being diagnosed with malignant hyperthermia.
Hodgson returns to the game of hockey for the first time since the 2015-16 NHL season and hopes to make his mark on the AHL.
this is a great story and I'm sure media and fans alike are cheering Hodgson on as he attempts to make a comeback and end his career on his own terms, no wants to retire at 26. His redemption tour starts now
